I do international research. We are currently living in the Dominican Republic for 10 months while I collect data for my dissertation. This blog is an attempt to respond to the comment that I hear often: “I have no idea how
you do it!”
I think that parents manage careers in strategic and specific ways that allow them to feel successful in both arenas. While I don't claim to have everything figured out, there are some things that work well for me. So, I hope that by sharing my strategies and struggles, you get a glimpse of how some people “do it”.
